DPV Scooter dives

Go Further and Faster than ever before

Are you a certified diver with certain experience who wishes to try something new?

DPVs (Diver Propulsion Vehicles) are the perfect experience. These underwater scooters allow us to cruise way longer distances while at the same time reducing our air consumption.

A DPV dive with us consists of the following: we will first meet at the dive shop and have a briefing on how the scooter works and what dive we shall do. Then, we will go to a shore point from which we will start the dive. At the start of the dive, we will perform the proper configuration and put into practice what we learned earlier. We will cruise around close to shore, at a depth of 10-15 meters approximately, and come back to the same point.

This DPV dive is a training dive, in which you get used to the scooter. If you enjoy and would like to repeat (and the instructor believes you are ready), on a second day you could dive in the North side of the island from the boat.

The dive sites at North have stronger currents than any other sites on the island.

With the scooters, and depending on the current, we could cruise over 5km underwater, jumping from reef to reef. It makes for a very special dive not offered around the island.

Dives from Tikila beach, or from the boat in the north side of Cozumel.

(using 15L on nitrox if certified. If not nitrox certified, use 12L tanks on air)
